Professional Bowler Brandon Novak Faces Child Pornography Charges

Brandon Novak, a professional bowler, is facing serious legal troubles after being arrested mid-tournament on charges related to child pornography. The 35-year-old Ohio native was detained during the 2024 US Open in Indianapolis and subsequently extradited to Ross County jail in Ohio.

Novak is facing a total of 15 felony charges, including five counts of pandering sexually oriented matter involving a minor and ten charges of illegal use of a minor in nudity-oriented material. The arrest occurred during his second game at the US Open, with video footage suggesting the moment of his apprehension.

Reports indicate that Novak had been under investigation by the Chillicothe Police Department since February 2023, prompted by complaints about his Facebook account's association with child pornography. During police interviews, Novak initially claimed he purchased pornography from someone on Snapchat without knowledge of its content. However, he later admitted to knowing about the child pornography and attempting to conceal it.

Novak's legal proceedings are ongoing, with a pre-trial hearing scheduled for March 21. These charges mark a significant turn of events for the professional bowler, who has been competing in tournaments for over a decade.
